Everyone in Jaxson’s life is on the lookout for his different seizure types and their effects down to his younger sister Jaylee. Jennifer, his mom, braces him as he experiences a seizure, one of many to be had today. They were on their fourth visit of the Cannabidiol study in which they had no idea if Jaxson was on the drug derived from the non-psychoactive chemical in marijuana or on placebo.
Jaxson's dad, Billy Huffman, gently lays him on the medical exam table before the head neurologist in the study at Cook Children's in Ft. Worth, Texas examines him. He can't hold himself upright or speak and his food must be pureed.
